If this door is in complete darkness, then not only can a robber get to it, but he can work in good cover. If you have a light over your front door, however, then a burglar can't use the cover of night. He can still approach the door, but now he is vulnerable. If he is spotted by a neighbor, they can alert the police right away.
The other type of outside lighting consists of lights that work with motion detectors. These lights do not shine all the time. They are only activated when the sensor detects movement. It is recommended that you place these lights around the perimeter of your home.
Once you take care of the outside of your home, you can begin to work on the inside. Inside your home, there is no better security device than a good home alarm system. Home alarms are so valuable because they are monitored 24 hours a day by your security company. If a home alarm is triggered, the security company will know instantly and they will alert the police for you.
